Organization and members

Organization

An organization is the top-level data container in Transpira — vehicles, routes, inspections, and other resources all belong to one. A user account can belong to multiple organizations; the console and mobile app let you pick the active organization, and every view and action applies only to its data.

Inviting members

An organization administrator invites new members by email. Once invited, the user signs in via Firebase, and their account is automatically linked to the organization membership on first login.

Roles and permissions

Each membership carries a set of roles that determine which modules and actions are available. For the full list of the 10 operational roles, what each one does, and how they combine, see Roles and permissions.

Site-level scope

A membership can also be restricted to selected locations (sites) — for example a specific branch or depot. By default no restriction means access to the whole organization; once a scope is assigned, the user only sees and acts on resources assigned to their sites.
