A profile set to the United Kingdom covers two different regimes, and choosing between them is a field on the profile — not a separate module. The retained post-Brexit EU rules apply by default; work outside their scope runs under GB domestic drivers' hours.
Limits and clocks
Under the retained regime the values are the same as in the European Union: 9 hours of daily driving (10 hours at most twice a week), a 45-minute break after 4.5 hours of driving (splittable 15 + 30), 56 hours of driving per week and 90 per fortnight. Alongside them run the retained road-transport working-time rules: a 60-hour absolute weekly ceiling, a 48-hour average over a 17-week reference period, breaks after 6 and 9 hours of work, and the 10-hour cap on a day that includes night work. Under the domestic regime only two daily limits count:
- Driving — 10 hours in a working day.
- Duty — 11 hours in a working day (driving plus other work).
Rests and resets
The retained regime uses the EU rests: 11 hours daily (reduced to 9 at most three times between weekly rests), 45 hours weekly after 144 hours, reducible to 24 with compensation before the end of the third following week.
The domestic regime imposes no break or weekly rest of its own — it has just the two daily counters. A working day is closed by 10 hours of continuous rest, after which both counters start from zero. No working-time clocks run here either; that is a separate concern the domestic regime doesn't fold in.
Specifics
Mobility Package rules don't apply in the United Kingdom — driver and vehicle returns to base, cabotage limits and posting declarations are not evaluated, and the platform deliberately doesn't run them. Tachograph obligations are unaffected and use the same download calendar as the European Union.
Activity records are retained for at least a year under either regime. The inspection export covers the driver's full activity for the chosen date range.
